Helping a growing web series expand their web presence. Supply Chain Live is a monthly live air web series, presented by project44, that focuses on all things supply chains. From new tech and industry trends to global crisis impacts on current situations. Supply Chain Live was growing out of it's simple website and needing a larger more engaging platform.
project44 created Supply Chain Live as a thought experiment to gauge the industry interest in a monthly series focusing on everything new and happening in supply chains, good or bad. With various guest speakers across the industry the idea was to keep things fluid and act as a point of truth for supply chain news. As the experiment grew over time with the audience the simple one page website was not helping the brand grow into more than just a signup page. Wanting to further entrench the brand as a source of truth in the industry the content provided needed to grow and entice users to look to SCL first for their supply chain news. Having things like previous episodes, a showcase of upcoming episodes as well as promoting participation from other leaders. The overall site needed to be rethought.
With growth being the focus and a brand identity already established the focus was brought to the page layouts, utilizing the visual identity in fresh new ways, and promoting and overall more robust offering we knew step one was expanding the site beyond just a single page. By allowing for a multipage robust site we opened the door not just for immediate growth but long term growth as well. Allowing Supply Chain Live to more easily grow and evolve with it's growing audience. Expanding not only whats coming but including an archive of past episodes brought Supply Chain Live from a signup page for a web series to a showcase of upcoming episodes and repository of great information.
The ending result was a web design that created more transparency in what the overall series was about and allowed for a greater focus on upcomng episodes, super informative soundbites from previous episodes, as well as previous episodes and seasons on demand to allow a user more reasons to continue to come back to Supply Chain Live to find the information they are looking for. We wanted to bring out the excitement and fun that was so well excuted in the brand identity into a new website that allowed users to feel as if they were sitting right on set of the series.
